Julia and Mike held their wedding at Cosener’s House Hotel, a beautiful wedding venue in Oxfordshire.  As an Abingdon wedding photographer I am often asked to capture weddings here, and of course I’m always delighted!  The wedding ceremony at St Helen’s Church is a short walk or drive from the venue, and is a delightful church full of character near the river.

I photographed Julia and her bridesmaids during the preparations, which were in one of the rooms at Cosener’s House.  Mike and his groomsmen were also getting ready at the hotel before walking over to St Helen’s Church.  It was a beautiful sunny day as we walked over to the church through the town centre.

Julia soon arrived in the bridal car for the wedding.  It was rather warm in the church as Mike waited nervously for her arrival.  The church was filled with so many family and friends watching Mike and Julia as they were married.

After the ceremony and confetti we took a walk down to the quayside, which looks wonderful as a backdrop for photos.  We then headed over to the Cosener’s House wedding reception, where drinks were being served on the lawn in the afternoon sunshine.

The reception room looked very elegant as the guests headed inside for the wedding breakfast and speeches, followed by dancing.  One of my favourite local bands The Vents were playing, they always provide great entertainment.  Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness!
