I was lucky enough to take some time out for a roadtrip up North to take part in a creative outdoor shooting day.  The day involved using natural lighting and flash to create portraits of the couple showing the versatility of on and off camera lighting.  The course was run by Chris Chambers at Hazlewood Castle and was really enjoyable!  We had a beautiful bride and rather handsome groom to pose for us, and had a wonderful time walking around the castle grounds.  We even had bluebells and woodlands, as well as wonderful sunshine – it was as perfect as could be!

Some of the photographs shown here are natural lighting, which is what I use for a lot of my wedding photography.  I love natural light – it adds a lovely soft glow when used correctly.  The creative lighting photographs in the afternoon and evening were really informative and we had a lot of fun creating them.  I have so many ideas for my weddings this year and I am looking forward to capturing stunning sunset portraits with creative lighting to add some spectacular artistic images.

If you would like any sunset portraits or flash photography for your wedding then please get in touch to discuss your day, I look forward to hearing from you and I hope you enjoy this set, I’m really pleased with them!
