I was delighted to be asked to photograph Linda and Chris’s sunset wedding at Voco Oxford Thames Hotel in Oxford.  As an Oxfordshire wedding photographer this is a venue I am very familiar with, although it is the first time I have photographed a ceremony using the outdoor gazebo, so I was thrilled when they told me this is where the ceremony would be held.

Their big day arrived and the weather was very kind to us – lovely sunshine during the day, which turned a bit overcast but luckily not a raindrop in sight.  I met Linda and Chris at their hotel room for a few quick photos of Linda’s fantastic paper flowers and the rings whilst they chatted to the registrar.

We decided to take a few bride and groom portraits in the grounds before the service to make the most of the fading light, and Linda and Chris were excited and full of laughs, which made for a really fun session.

I then waited at the gazebo whilst they took a stroll together from the hotel and spent a few moments together.  They walked down the aisle together with Linda’s children, and many friends and family looking on.  The ceremony was light-hearted and fun, finishing with the signing of the register and throwing of confetti.

We then moved up to the hotel for drinks and buffet in the barn, which is a lovely spacious room leading out onto a patio area.  The groom made a short speech before everyone made their way to the buffet for a feast of finger foods and cake.

Wishing you both an amazing future together as husband and wife, and may all your dreams come true.
