I was delighted to photograph Emma and James’s wedding at St Mary’s Church in Kidlington, followed by their Oxford Four Pillars Sandford wedding reception.

I joined Emma and her bridesmaids and parents for the bridal preparations at home.  The girls all wore matching dressing gowns which were lovely!  We had a few portraits nearby in a lovely open space before the car arrived.

Emma and her dad journeyed in style to St Mary’s Church for the wedding ceremony.  There was an extra surprise when some of the children from Emma’s nursery school joined us for singing in the church.  After the ceremony there was another treat – the arrival of the ice-cream van (misternicecream.com) which turned out to be a big hit serving ice-creams to the guests.  Emma and James also enjoyed an ice-cream!

We then headed off to the Oxford Thames Four Pillars Hotel wedding reception.  This lovely hotel in Sandford is perfect for weddings.  We were lucky the rain held off for our photos in the grounds.

We were able to make use of the large boat which is moored in the grounds, and the bridal party gathered on the boat for a few portraits.  Emma and James also had some photographs taken in the wooded area – the grounds of the hotel are vast and allow for some great photo opportunities.

Soon it was time to cut the beautiful chocolate wedding cake and enjoy the wedding breakfast and speeches.

Emma looked amazing in her very beautiful dress, and I’m sure everyone partied the night away in style!
