I was delighted to photograph Lauren and Martin’s lockdown wedding at Milton Hill House Hotel.  As they had already postponed once, the couple were keen to go ahead, regardless of masks and distancing!  I was lucky enough to photograph a few weddings during the easing of covid lockdown, and although the weddings were smaller than originally planned, they were so enjoyable, with a relaxed and joyful vibe.

I arrived early to take a few photographs of Lauren getting ready.  Her wonderful hair and make-up artist was Melissa (https://www.melissa-hairandmakeup.co.uk/) who is professional and experienced, and Lauren looked absolutely gorgeous.  Martin was eagerly awaiting the arrival of the bridal party, and the veremony was soon underway.  Although all guests were required to socially distance and wear masks, luckily the bride and groom were able to enjoy the ceremony with no masks.  This certainly makes a difference to the wedding photography, with wonderful memories of this special day.

After the ceremony, the guests were treated to some lovely canapes which were individually served, as well as a glass of champagne.

After chatting to their guests after the cedding ceremony, we headed outside into the Autumn sunshine.  One of the best parts of wedding photography at Milton Hill House is the vast and beautiful grounds.  The trees were looking so colourful and were the perfect backdrop as we strolled around through the Italian Gardens to the little bridge.

The Wisteria Room was soon ready for the wedding reception, with well spaced tables for bubbles.  Lauren and Martin had decorated the room with some lovely blossom trees which helped to fill the space.  The speeches started, with guests joining via video link to enjoy the wonderful stories of living in Russia.  After the meal the guests were entertained with a game of Mr and Mrs, followed by the first dance.

Congratulations Lauren and Martin, wishing you so much happiness for the future.

I love being a Milton Hill House wedding photographer, it’s one of my favourite wedding venues in Oxfordshire and is just about on my doorstep.  Weddings are always well organised, with delicious food, attentive staff and plenty of space for guests to enjoy the day.  The venue also offers guest accommodation, an on-site spa and pool, and a lovely bar and restaurant area.  If you are looking for a photographer with a natural and relaxed style then please do get in touch, I would love to hear more about your day.
