I love Milton Hill House weddings – especially on a gorgeous summers day!  Mel and Patt were both getting ready at the hotel, and I was able to capture bridal preparations for both brides during the morning.  As a LGBT wedding photographer its important to allow time to capture each bride during the morning.  I also photographed their beautiful dresses as well as their family and friends who were helping with the bridal preparations. There was much excitement and anticipation for the wedding!

Before heading downstairs we took a few family photos at the top of the staircase.  Milton Hill has a lovely open balcony which is ideal for a few portraits, with lovely soft light through the clear roof.

The ceremony was in one of the smaller rooms at the front of the hotel with a beautiful fireplace, and there was a more intimate feel for the small group of family and friends attending the wedding.  Mel entered first followed by Patt and there weren’t many dry eyes as they exchanged their vows.  First kiss and applause followed by signing of the register were next.

Soon we were out in the gorgeous sunshine for confetti and photos on the lawn.  We then took by a few photos in the grounds and the Italian Gardens.  Mel and Patt are such a perfect couple, and they enjoyed spending their first few moments together walking along the lovely pathways in the gardens of Milton Hill House Hotel.

The wedding reception was in the library, which is a wonderful wood-panelled room overlooking the grounds.  Mel and Patt cut their cake followed by speeches and their meal.

What a pleasure to be chosen as their same-sex wedding photographer – I wish you all the best for your future together!
