Camilla and John had been planning their Lains Barn wedding and looking forward to their big day when covid hit and suddenly their plans changed.  They were so positive through the adversity, with their church wedding ceremony taking place followed by a wedding reception at Barton House.

I started the day with Camilla getting ready for her wedding at Barton House with her family and bidesmaids, whilst Richard photographed John and his groomsmen.  The sun was shining and there was a lot of excitement about the day ahead.  We arrived at St Mary’s Church in East Hendred for the church ceremony, with a smaller number of people allowed to watch from indoors.  Luckily there was live streaming of the ceremony so that the guests outside could also watch.

As soon as the ceremony ended there was a loud cheer followed by confetti and group photographs.  I headed off with the happy couple to Lains Barn for a few wedding photographs in the grounds of their venue.  I do love Lains Barn weddings, as the barn is beautiful and the grounds offer so many opportunities for relaxed and informal moments.

The smaller wedding reception took place at Barton House, following the covid guidelines to ensure a small and intimate gathering.  We had a lovely walk down to the lake for some photographs, followed by a small evening reception with family and friends.

What a wonderful wedding day, bringing so much happiness in challenging times.  Wishing you all the best for the future!
