Wow, where do I start with this gorgeous day!  I was delighted to be asked to capture Charlotte and Gaz’s wedding at Earth Trust Fison Barn in Long Wittenham.  As I live in Abingdon its a local venue for me and I’m very familiar with this beautiful and rustic location.

Charlotte and Gaz booked me just a few days before their big day, so I popped over to the venue to meet them and go through the details and timings.  It all sounded really fun and I couldn’t wait for the wedding! Their theme for the wedding was “Colourful and fun. With an eco friendly vibe.”

The day started at Long Wittenham Church where I met Charlotte’s bridesmaids in their beautiful and colourful dresses from Lindy Pop.  I love the retro styling, how glamorous do they look? Stunning.

The ceremony was as lovely as you can imagine, with their beautiful dog sitting happily through the ceremony, and leaving the church with the delighted newly-weds.  After a few quick photos at the church we headed over to the Earth Trust Fison Barn wedding reception which was just up the road.

It was a hot and sunny day, so the guests were able to make the most of the lovely outside space.  Charlotte and Gaz had chosen minimal decorations for the barn as its lovely as it is!  Charlotte and Gaz got creative and made a lot of decorations themselves, spending many evenings covered in glue from sticking paper together to hand garlands and for table decorations. They catered themselves and had enough food to ensure everyone was well fed and happy.

We spent some time in the grounds taking a few photos on the bridge and around the grounds.  It was a very hot day so it was soon time for more refreshments!

The music started, the kids were on the bouncy castle, and the sun was shining.  A perfect end to a perfect day.
