This was my first Christmas wedding at Caswell House and I was delighted to photograph Jo and James’s relaxed and fun wedding day.  It was quite a chilly day but bright and clear – perfect light for Caswell House wedding photography!

When I arrived Jo and her bridesmaids were getting ready in the bridal suite, which is a really lovely room with plenty of space for everyone.  Jo’s beautiful lace dress was hanging in the dressing room, and her flowers looked beautiful too.

James and the groomsmen were also getting ready in the stable rooms, and we took a few photos before I headed back to Jo for her final preparations.  She looked absolutely beautiful in her dress!

We were so lucky with the crisp winter weather and it stayed dry throughout the day, allowing the bride and her bridesmaids and parents to walk across the entrance driveway to the barn for the ceremony.

It was a very emotional and touching ceremony, and such a pleasure to watch.  After the ceremony we had a few photos outdoors in the gorgeous afternoon winter light.  We walked through the grounds before heading to the bridge, which was a bit slippery from the cold weather so we held on tightly!  We then took a few group photos in front of the magnificent Christmas tree before heading into the barn for the wedding breakfast and speeches.

Soon it was time for the cake-cutting and dancing, and the party started!  The huge Christmas tree in the foyer was a wonderful backdrop for the photos and added a lovely atmosphere to the room.

What a wonderfully perfect day – wishing you a lifetime of happiness x
