I’m really excited – my work has been assessed by a panel of photographers at the SWPP and I have been awarded a Licentiate in wedding photography.

Having a Licentiate is important as it recognises that my work is of an acceptable standard to work as a wedding photographer, even though I have been doing this for quite a few years now. In an industry where there are a lot of people with nice cameras who are starting out in wedding photography its good to know that you can trust your photographer to deliver great photos on the day.

The SWPP gets some bad press as anyone can sign up to benefit from their forums, competitions, seminars and training, but their assessment for Licentiate is very strict so I’m pleased I meet the grade.
