I was delighted to be asked to photograph Miriam and Alex’s wedding at The Bodleian Library in Oxford.  This is such a beautiful wedding venue in Oxford, with so much history and grandeur, it’s a perfect setting for a celebration.  The wedding reception in The Divinity School was laid with chiavari chairs and cream and pink flower arrangements and looked very stylish.

We made the most of the afternoon sunshine by taking a few photographs in Oxford.  Miriam looked absolutely beautiful in an elegant dress with lace detail.  Alex was very smart in his blue suit with a cream rose to compliment Miriam’s bouquet.

We returned to The Bodleian Library wedding reception for a few group photographs in the square and to allow Miriam and Alex to chat to their guests for a while before the reception started.

The guests soon headed inside to be seated before the bride and groom were welcomed into the wedding reception.  During the evening there were prayers, blessings and dancing – the bride and groom were lifted on their chairs during the Hora whilst the guests danced around them which was really fun!  After cutting their cake it was time for the first dance, which is always spectacular in the fantastic setting of The Bodleian Library.

It is always so wonderful to see so many family and friends being part of the wedding celebrations – this is really what a wedding is all about.  Wishing you so much happiness for the future after such a perfect wedding day.

If you are having a Bodleian Library wedding then I’d love to hear about your wedding day – please get in touch.  I have photographed weddings in The Divinity School, weddings in Convocation House as well as plenty of Oxford University Weddings.  I am an Oxfordshire wedding photographer and I travel across the UK.  My style is relaxed, informal and natural whilst capturing the elegance and style of your day.
